Godly solutions; a business manifesto

The credit crunch of November 2008 shook all traditional financial institutions, in which the business world had faith. It is difficult to say which part of our lifestyle was left untouched by the worst crisis since the great depression.

An event such as this marks a new era. Different times call for different paradigms, especially if existing paradigms have proven weaknesses. It revealed that the world systems had too many assumptions, leaving very little room for reality. The politics we practiced failed us. The economic systems we relied on stood on quick sand. The social checks and measures were imbalanced. Everything we knew suddenly became meaningless. Could it have been the beginning of Hebrews 12; 27, which says, “removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain”? 8

Is there anything out there which has stood the test of time? It is time to ask new questions that will generate new answers and lay foundation for new business and government policies. Let us rethink everything. After all, we are living through a once-in-a-century challenge, and we may never have another chance in our lifetime to reflect so deeply. New thinking demands we stop looking outward, let us introspect. Let’s go back to our essence, our core, our being; it rarely changes.

Our hearts are where the unshakable reality resides, and why Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived said, “God has placed eternity in the hearts of men.” If we stick to that reality in our business decisions, we will shift from greed-driven decisions to ethics-guided choices, and with this, there will be no more melt-downs.

In our hearts is a place of perpetuity and infinity, assigned to us by God. Past generations have gone back to it to lift them from depressing valleys up to soaring mountains heights. Following the eternal heart has never failed man, and eternal devotion will never fail businesses.

Eternity – that endless timelessness, which overrides every barrier in its path, outlasts all things, and can help any organization survive any test. It gives hope that no matter what barricades, one will make it through. It is the feeling we have inside of us, of what we were meant to be, but we have failed to be. Let’s not brush it aside, and when we clinch it, let it be part of our daily business.

Let us manifest what we know is true inside; the subconscious knowledge of the solution. What we know is locked deep inside our hearts – that Godly nature we have inside. Through thrust in the Almighty prescient God, every single investment we undertake in good faith will pay dividends.

Let us go back to the God who promises in Hebrews 12; 28 that “a kingdom that cannot be shaken.”  When we do we will find the one standing there at the entrance saying, “I am the beginning and the end.”  This is our divine time to prove to the world that there is another way. No other generation has had the reach, the resources and the abundance of revelation to execute this – but we have and we can and we will. We are the ones we have been waiting for.
