Mama’s Hope and Boy’s Faith

School at sun rise, at sunset, work and gripe,
As the hoe hauls to a rise; the birds begin to glide,
It is the power of stride, with anxiety like the bride.
Every morning she provides, for he has to bridge the broad divide,
With prayer she guides, he never follows the peer tide,
Every evening she decides, whilst all he does is abide,
She shows good, never derides, for life is no smooth ride.
T’s a life of delight, for every dawn sets hope alight,
Evil, so she says, you must fight, for living you must; never in fright,
Go and shine bright, she says, and he moves quick to shape his plight,
He learns it is not just plight, but luck is always in constant flight.
Progress is no birthright; prosperity is about path-right
Inadequacy is no blight, just as excess is no might,
For having all you might, but peace is not a right,
She teaches him to do right, so he may get to might.
